[He was lying on the couch playing a game, and the knock startles him upright in a flash. He's not expecting anyone. Who could it be? He's torn between fantasy scenarios of it being some cute neighbor girl who saw him come in earlier and decided to come "introduce herself" and nightmare scenarios of getting thrown into a van again and dragged off to some sort of CERES event he won't be able to escape for the next ten hours . . .
But he's not going to just hole up in his apartment either way. He swings his legs off the sofa and walks over to crack the door open and poke his face out.
