[A FUN SEVERAL HOURS, TO BE CERTAIN.

Here's what happens:

At first, he'd made the foolish assumption that Togami was just drifting, and would be upright and embarrassed and grumpy again within ten minutes or whatever. It's only after everyone else has headed out on their ways that Leon realizes that's not what's going on here: he is out. Right on his sofa. (Which is, at least, large enough to sleep on comfortably, even for someone of Togami's height; this is the furniture Leon splurged on the most of all. A man's couch is an important place of both rest and activity, when you can't make your way all the way to the bed for either.)

But here they are. Of course, his first instinct is to wake Togami up and send him back to his own place, maybe walk him there if he's too sleep-addled to make it on his own, but . . . he makes his way over to the couch and gets hit with an attack of something. Conscience? Maybe. Earlier he'd been frustrated at his inability to offer anything substantial to a friend (even if he's not getting paid for it!) suffering outside of anyone's control; now here's this same friend finally at peace, which is a huge relief, seriously, if a little morbidly phrased.

And he's gonna be the one to wake him up? Eh . . . he can give up the couch space for a while.

Of course, Togami hasn't slept in a few days, so "a while" ends up being a little longer than Leon truly understood at the time he made that decision. But once he's made it, he feels locked into it; it'd be totally stupid to let him stay for like two hours and then wake him up, right? If he were going to do that, he should've just kicked him out to begin with and saved them all the effort! It's a point of pride now! He's being a good fucking friend, here! It's not like he needs his couch right now; the last thing he wants after all that shit earlier is to watch TV or play any console games . . .

Come to think of it, maybe the company's actually kind of nice. Not that he's scared or anything, of course. Never had been!

He even hangs out in the living room for a while, for the "company," which is not really company at all. Leon's not used to company he doesn't converse with; it goes against his nature and all. And he wouldn't actually mind it that much, except there comes a point where he glances over at Togami to see what he's "doing" for like the twentieth time (because that's what you do with company, you check out what they're doing even if you're not talking!) and he's still sleeping because of course he is, and Leon starts to feel a little creepy about watching him. He's not even trying to creepily watch him sleep. It's just that every time Leon looks over there Togami's sleeping, and that's not Leon's fault! Ugh.

After enough of that, he unfolds from his chair with a huff and heads into his bedroom to hang out—after hauling out a blanket to drop on top of Togami, because that's a thing you do. That seems legit. He's not gonna tuck him in or anything, but you've gotta have a blanket if you're sleeping, that's just common sense!

Right. Cool. With that taken care of, he wanders back to his bedroom . . .

For however long that's going to be.]
